I just can't believe the saga is over. This was my fav book series since 2010 and I always got excited when a new book came out. But this time is over. There wont be any more "I can't wait for the next book."
I must admit that there were a few things I did not like about this last book (just some minor details and the ridiculous last sentences that seemed like out of a bad tv show). The rest was amazing, as always. I will really miss Amelia and her world.

When I read the blurb for The Awakening, I thought “brilliant; a child ghost, this will be really creepy.” Unfortunately, I found the book more irritating than spooky. Amelia seemed to make every b-grade horror movie mistake – she spent pages articulating why she shouldn’t do something risky, then do it anyway. AND, if something evil is watching you from outside your house, CLOSE THE BL00DY CURTAINS!
This was not my favourite Amanda Stevens book. However, I can’t wait for the next one.

The end
The last book in the series is wrapping up most of loose ends. The ending is open to interpretation but I’m glad to see Amelia and Devlin resolving the issue. They will be happy together after all.

I am sad to see this series end, but at the same time I am happy that it ended well and did not drag out like some were you just start to feel meh about the whole thing. I will also miss the whole vibe of the series. Southern Gothic mystery, it's spooky, without being scary.
Amelia still misses Devlin, and so do I. They were good together, but he was in deep with...other things. But this new case she is on takes her back to him and his world. Something was buried in that graveyard, something is haunting it. And she must find out what happened because the ghost will not let go of her.
Ghosts who want answers, bad omens and creepy gravayards. This is such a great world she created. I can feel I was there in then heat, dirt and strange things happening.
I was happy how it all ended. A good series that I am sad to see end.

Predictable, yet creepy, this final installment of the Graveyard Queen series wasn't as strong as the previous novel. The villains were obvious and transparent, the identity of the ghost girl wasn't a surprise, and the ending was definitely anti-climactic.
Still, the book was scary (and therefore enjoyable) so it gets a solid three stars from me.

A very satisfying ghost story set in Charleston, NC. Although this was the 6th book in the series, it worked fairly well as a standalone. I’m going to have to delve into the rest of this series — I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed this novel!
