What a fantastic story! This sequel to Airborn is even better. Matt is studying at the Airship Academy (and not doing as well as he had hoped) when he takes time off for another adventure- salvaging the abandoned skyship of a rich inventor- in the hopes of making his fortune. The twists and turns of the plot are highly entertaining and the end is satisfying.

In this sequel to "Airborn," Matt and Kate are going higher than ever.

Matt can hardly believe his luck when he is allowed to go on a quest for the legendary Hyperion; a strange craft that an eccentric inventor left floating in the stratosphere ages ago. With Matt as one of the crew on an immense airship bound for the airborn treasure, and Kate hoping to discover new species high above the clouds, this is yet another amazing adventure of the skies that does not disappoint.

I think this was a very interesting book. It's not fantasy, even though there are made-up animals in it; instead, it's all possible. I like the characters and the plot. Usually, I only get scared during a scary movie; books don't scare me so much. This one did. I was getting shivers, and I didn't want to stop reading because I was afraid of what I might think. I was getting chills.

This is the second in a series, though you don't need to read them in order (but you should!!) following the adventures of Matt Cruse and the very determined Kate DeVries. Matt is now in the Air Academy working his way through school in order to be able to become the captain of his own Air Ship. This story starts off with Matt being apprenticed to a shady Air Captain who in the middle of a storm sees a fabled ship high in the sky one that is rumored to have treasure beyond the wildest dreams. Especially one of a poor boy who is in love with one of the elite... Kate also has her eyes on the ghost ship it is rumored to have specimens of animals not seen in forever... he might even have a Cloud Cat!!!

With new and dangerous creatures, money hungry captains, and a beautiful gypsy girl all with their own risks and rewards this is an amazing story told at breakneck speed.
