This is a book by a new to me author and I loved this book. The chemistry between Seve and Max is amazing and the sex is fire. I love the characters and the story.

While I though the characters and the basic storyline were okay, even if it was a bit predictable at times, I found it just dragged on too long for me. Plus, even if the sex was hot, the writing was a bit awkward and embarrassing at times (especially the dialogue).

This is one of those books that surprised me. I started off wondering if I was actually going to like it, to be honest. And that is very unusual for a Clare London story. But the characters seemed a bit off. Too broken, too cocky...and even the extra's seemed a bit of a caricature to be perfectly frank. Everything seemed exaggerated, a bit overdone, including the sex.
While very hot, that's all there was between the MC's: sex. And more sex. There was no other interaction. And while I don't mind the insta-lust and their acting on it, I was starting to want more. And boy did I get it! Things got much better, very quickly. There were no drawn out heart-to-hearts or long, intimate conversations (but they are men...do we really always expect that lol) but the relationship was changing, growing. And suddenly the story became so much more. And it all started to work for me.
