This book was a good debut effort; the premise is quite unique, but I felt there was a bit too much exposition, which was stifling at times. Sometimes the dialogue can just say it all. Also the fact that two people could fall so passionately in love in a matter of a few days just wasn't as convincing as it might have been. (I'm not claiming that this isn't possible though!)

On a random note, I chuckled at the reference to the Batcave, though no one can ever usurp Bruce Wayne in my eyes, and he's been a vampire in another version too.
