Following Miles’s journey in this series continues to be both fun and action packed and absolutely heart breaking. It’s a balance of highs and lows that I think works really well in showcasing the experiences of a hero.
Enjoyed this a lot, as always with Spider-Man, and eager to see where Ahmed takes this next after some of the tough choices made.

The low point of the run for me, getting caught up in too much Ultimate universe continuity and characters running around in mobs fighting goblin guys - but Ahmed does a great job with his character writing and it really holds through.

The first 4 issues of this volume were very very strong, with Miles getting some interesting challenges and also featuring some of the side characters in different situations. Unfortunately it ended with 2 issues that were essentially the chaos climaxes seen in the Marvel films, where there's just endless action, way too many villains and superheroes, and not so much plot. While this can be somewhat enjoyable in a film, it drags on the page a bit. Saladin does manage to turn it back to its emotional center with a surprising and sudden ending to the arc though, and ultimately this continues to be one of Marvel's best current series.
