This is the first I’ve read of the series. Tamara Hayle is a black PI and single mom in Newark, NJ, who is hired by a radio show host, Mandy Magic, to find out who has been sending her ominous notes. We find out more and more about Mandy’s past, then the book heads for a dramatic twist of an ending. Well written and paced. Definitely want to read more in the series.
