The charakters and the plot was to focused on the main character of the first book. Who the author constantly killed in the endings of the previous books (je sacrifices himself and gets into a situation which is early on established as 100% deadly) just to miraculously bring him back. When he did the same again in this book I found it so unbelievable that the anyway not well written book was not worth the time anymore.

Fulminanter Abschluss (oder doch nicht?) der genialen "Die Zwerge" Reihe. Aus meiner Sicht sind "Die Zwerge" eine der besten deutschen Fantasy-Buchserien, daher automatisch 5 Sterne. In dieser Reihe habe ich die interessante Erfahrung gemacht das erste Buch im Original auf Deutsch zu lesen, die nächsten drei in extrem gut gelungener englischer Übersetzung (fand ich zum Teil sogar eleganter und schwungvoller, also deutlich besser für den Lesefluss, bin aber auch eher englische Fantasytitel gewohnt), um das letzte Buch (#5) wieder im Originaltext zu lesen. Jedes einzelne Buch dieser Serie war grossartig, einziges Manko meiner Ausgabe des "Der Triumph der Zwerge" sind die leider doch recht zahlreichen Tippfehler, die ich als extrem unangenehm empfand. Etwas vergleichbares findet man in englischen Übersetzungen nie. Dennoch reicht dieses Manko (selbst für einen Rechtschreib- und Grammatiknerd wie mich) nicht aus um etwas geringeres als 5 Sterne zu geben.
