This book is the first short story in a five part novella. It was a fun read and I plan on reading the next adventures of Kate Jones. Berkom does a wonderful job pulling you into the story. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes suspense and action packed reads.

What an adventure! Although it was short, 150 pages on my Nook, I enjoyed it! Held my attention, very hard for me to put down. Kate escaped and on the run with a bag of money. Not going to ruin the rest you will have to read it to see it all play out. Now on to see where Kate Jones goes.

It was a pretty good set of stories (originally published as serials, I believe) with a quick moving plot. It also definitely fell into the category of a "thriller." While I did enjoy the story line, I feel like there was not enough depth for me. I definitely think I would enjoy this character if it was a full length novel, with the characters fleshed out a little more. If you're looking for a quick, easy, and action packed read, this is for you.
