Everyone in this book is terrible, starting with the heroine, who has allowed her fourteen-year-old son to think that her (abusive) ex-husband is his father, is concerned about his friendship with a fourteen-year-old girl because she's Italian and has boobs so might entice him into sex (oh those slutty Italian chicks!), tells her kid her brother-in-law "assaulted" her during her marriage (by which she actually means he... I don't even know, grabbed her arm or something?), never told her lover their affair resulted in pregnancy... I mean, the list just goes on and on. The hero helped his nineteen-year-old sister-in-law escape her wildly abusive marriage, then had an affair with her (when she was all of twenty), then went back to his wife. The one he was married to the whole time. The heroine's boss complains that she wouldn't sleep with him while he was married to his first wife and tells her his second wife is jealous. I mean, there's just nobody.

Anyway, the one-star rating is because after all of this BS, we learn the abusive husband is dead - but worst of all he died in the apartment of a "known homosexual." I just can't even. Don't read this.
