This book is heartbreaking in so many ways, but it serves as a reminder of how dangerous commercial exploitation is to anyone, but especially to children. The various perspectives that give voice to this novel help explore how the innocence of children can be lost and destroyed by others. Quint is set in the mid-20th century, but speaks to readers today because the ideals behind Quintland, in many ways, still exists today. Cannot recommend this book enough.
