Když jsem si knihu půjčovala v knihovně, bylo to náhodou. Spadla mi na hlavu. Vzala jsem to jako znamení a půjčila si ji.
Když jsem začala číst první kapitolu, hned mě to popadlo. I když mě film nevzal, kniha ano. Bylo to tak skvělé čtení že jsem ji měla přečtenou na jeden zátah.
Doporučuji všem, i když třeba zrovna nemusí piráty

This book is very personal to me, because the first time I had it in my hands I was about 8 years old. One of my father's old books, it had a beautiful black hardcover. Back then, I wasn't much of a bookworm, but I just loved this book without even knowing what it was about, I just knew I'd read it someday. And I did, many years later, after my father's passing. So this book felt bittersweet, because it brings me memories of him, both happiness and that feeling that something's missing. So, finally, my review of the story itself: even though I thought it was, sometimes, slow-paced, I loved it. I wasn't expecting such a plot twist at the end, which worked amazingly. The Black Corsair, his personality, his honor, all the adventures this story brings.. it was amazing! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is just because of that slow-paced part, but that's just me.

Ho letto questo romanzo per la prima volta a 11 anni, grazie a mia mamma che ne ha sempre tessuto magnifiche lodi e mi era piaciuto.
Ora, dopo quasi 20 anni l'ho ripreso in mano per seguire un gruppo di lettura sul ciclo delle Antille.
Non si può negare che sia un ottimo romanzo, scritto con un linguaggio ormai quasi antico, che però ben si accompagna alle avventure che va raccontando.
Delle magnifiche descrizioni si alternano a scene dense di azioni con questi corsari che non hanno paura di nulla. Una fiaba dal sapore antico!
Eppure, non è riuscito a colpirmi. Ho letto il libro in pochi giorni, ma, a parte il finale che è sublime, il resto del romanzo mi ha lasciato piuttosto tiepida e distratta. Solo questo mi porta a dargli solo 3 stelline, ma non preoccuparti Salgari, ci rivedremo presto!

“Il corsaro Nero” è un grande classico dell’avventura che ha emozionato generazioni di ragazzi e ispirato tanti scrittori. Tra abbordaggi, assalti a città fortificate e inseguimenti, la storia di un uomo che sfida il destino avverso in nome dell’onore e dei propri ideali. Un finale indimenticabile che invita subito a leggere il seguito: "La regina dei Caraibi".

Mira que quería que acabara el libro, mira que me cae mal el prota, mira que la venganza contra el flamenco se me estaba haciendo larguísima... y aún así con ese final el desgraciado del autor acabó enganchándome. Cortó la historia en seco. Me dejó atontada. El libro es básico y hasta casi infantil en su narración de aventuras pero ese final es impoluto, a estudiar como la genialidad que es. Lo bueno que es me cabrea porque voy a tener que continuar con la secuela no habiéndome gustado nada de lo anterior. A parte del ritmo que también es muy bueno.
Este libro es el equivalente de la época de un blockbuster de acción hoy en día. Personajes que simplemente son arquetipos y lo mínimo de backstory, un romance instalove super dramático y no demasiado interés en que sea una historia realista. El halo de protagonista del Corsario Negro es descomunal. Que pinten a los nativos como caníbales es de muy mal gusto y el final del duque de Lerma me dio pena, por lo estúpido que fue en su "ser honorable".
Pero tengo que dárselo, el último capítulo es impecable. Desde el ambiente, hasta el imaginario de los hermanos muertos y Honorata siendo dejada en la chalupa.

I've come to know this book when I found out that one of the series I watched as a kid was the adaptation of the first two books of this series.
I've read this book in English, the translation and editing are very good, if I didn't know the original was in Italian, the thought that this was translated wouldn't cross my mind.
As about the story, I found it quite a perfect children's book. It may have many violent and death description (keep in mind that it's a book written in the 19th century and the story is about pirates in the 17th), it doesn't glorify that way of living and the main character and the secondary characters have actually high morales, honour and a strong sense of loyalty. Although the grief and hatred towards his brothers' murderer has turned the Black Corsair quite cold in the end of this book, there's still the second to look forward to.
