I read the English translation of this book ("The Noble Stallion")
It's an old book with some saucy bits (although you need to understand the innuendo/language to catch them, so perhaps still suitable for young adults). There was less about horses than I anticipated, although Maestoso Austria was a key character and most of the events did revolve around him or his presence. I enjoyed the book, which is primarily a retelling of how the Hungarian Countess, Maestoso, and George came to meet and form a family together. There is a fairly colourful supporting cast and it is fairly humourous (and often a little saucy, as mentioned).
