The story was hard to follow along with at times but the end did leave me intrigued and I want to see where the story goes. I also was't really a fan of the art but I liked the color scheme.

I am pretty torn about this comic. I really wanted to love it, and it has a lot of elements that I do love, but it also left me feeling a little underwhelmed.
The blurb for the comic says "perfect for fans of Rat Queens" and I have to agree, because it pretty much IS the Rat Queens, just set in an urban environment (and without the humour). Some of the characters even share the same names as several Rat Queens!
That isn't to say its a bad thing. A comic about a gang of girls protecting their hood and families? Sign me up. I was excited to read this first issue. However, I feel like the comic is lacking something and while it had a great start, the story is slow moving and will likely end before it really gets going. There is a lot happening in Issue #1 but I wanted to get to know these characters a bit more instead of immediately jumping into a gang war. Unfortunately, the series is only a four issue run, so I guess there is only so much space for this story to be told.
I love the cover but the artwork inside is pretty average and overwhelmingly pink/green. It was a bit hard to get used to at first, and I had to remind myself that its part of the overall punk/rock style of the comic but at times it felt lazy and like it could have been done better.
Overall I did like Curb Stomp #1. And I will probably read the next three issues just to see where the story goes, but its not at the top of my pull list.

It was just ok, I don't know if I'll continue it but then again, it's only four books.

Girl gang, turf war, B-movie feel, loved the colour art and the repping of WOC. Cool idea but didn't quite live up to expectations (story was meh, fell a bit flat).

Colorful and violent, a nice re-working of the basic concept behind the 70s movie, The Warriors. It needed a little more depth and tighter language; as it stands, it's a bit clumsy. However, the design of the five members of the Fever was phenom.
