Imagine picking up just this book and falling head-over-heels for a character who
gets her head blown up at the end
. This is why I need to change my comic reading habits; from now on we wait for the omnibus.

I really enjoyed the artwork and the personalities of all the gods. There was only one scene where I was REALLY confused, but a quick Google search for the deity's name helped clear that up. The ending was so good. I can't wait to get the next volume.

Yeah...this is a generous two stars. It isn't for me. It has an interesting premise, but it got hard to follow and felt all over the place. The art is lovely, though.

I liked the idea and the art but when I finished I was like, what?

I really enjoyed this graphic novel! I had heard rumors that it is confusing, but I honestly didn't think it was confusing to the point that it was not enjoyable. The artwork is absolutely stunning, the writing is frank but interesting, and it leaves you with just enough to get the story but enough questions to push you to read the next volume. Luci is definitely my favorite character and I feel like more attention was given to her than some of the other characters. This was really the only thing I had a problem with-a lot of the other characters were not explored as much as Luci was. I got that she was kind of the spotlight character for this volume, but it would have been nice to learn more about the other characters (and there were quite a few of them). Overall, I had a good time reading this comic and will definitely pick up the next one.

DNF - Stopped on #3, the art work and concept really intrigued me - I was really hoping to like it...but a lot of it is going straight over my head. Maybe I'll try again soon, but it's just not for me at the moment.
