It makes the film all the more potent and strangely devastating, a brilliant companion piece and a fantastic work within its own right.

Fantastic addition to the film, highly anticipating a rewatch with these comics now under my belt.

This book is a must read for anyone who wants to or has watched the movie. It really is the first half of the story. I had the movie for about a year, but never quite felt like watching it. Then I listened to Richard Kelly on SMoviemakers and he mentioned how important the graphic novels are to the story. I sat down and read it, and then watched the movie. I can so see how a lot of the movie would make no sense without reading this. If you haven't read it yet, read it and then watch the movie. It makes so much sense and is a wonderful story.

I read this in preparation for watching the film, which I have never seen. As far as what is going to happen with the story, I have no idea. It would appear that lines (and maybe even scenes) from the comic, are also in the movie. Never the less, I don't think I can assign this a rating or a proper review until I finish the whole story.

I picked this up after watching the movie Southland Tales. This is a prequel of the weeks before and explains quite a lot of what is fuzzy in the film. Very dreamy and powerful, I highly recommend this if you liked the (admittedly obtuse) film at all.

Provides unnecessary exposition to a misunderstood modern day cinematic masterpiece.

I'm not quite sure what the point of this book was. It revisited so many scenes shown in the movie, I'm not sure how it was a prequel. Ultimately, the 3 weeks I had it was not long enough to interest me enough to finish.
*Edit* Oh yeah, and the artwork suucked.

If you were one of the few people to see the movie, it's worth a read. Like the movie, it may not make a lot of sense, but it's an interesting visual tale.
