Re-reading. People coming together to save the world. My favorite Terry Moore series. Maybe. It’s so hard to choose!

Enjoyable, but nothing more. Julie is in the desert at the wrong time, and is covered in a silver metal falling from the sky which seems to be alive. I quite like the style of Terry Moore's comics, but I'm not passionate about them.

Great graphic novel with strong female characters and a huge, interesting and conspiratory story.

After completing the successful twelve year run on his seminal creation, [book:Strangers in Paradise], Moore recently turned his artistic attentions toward his next endeavor, Echo. The science fiction series centers around photographer Julie Martin, who after an explosion, discovers a powerful atomic armor adhering to her skin. Moore wisely relies on his strong sense of characterization especially his portrayals of women, both as an artist and writer. Echo: Moon Lake collects the first five issues as Julie attempts (poorly) to come to grips with what has happened to her. As with all Terry Moore stories, this first volume piques the reader's interest, leaving us wanting more.

Really enjoyed this! Lots of character background established but in a very natural way. Fun stuff with the power-discovery story too. Look forward to reading more!

The military decide to test an experiment to destruction, not incidentally murdering the person running the experiment, and in the resulting explosion debris rains down on Julie Martin out by herself in the middle of nowhere. The debris turn into a weird metal breastplate, causing understandable upset and trauma for Julie, but she can't get anyone to believe that it's not some kind of trick, and the military are hunting her.
So, it's an irresponsible military experiment gone awry and bonded with an innocent bystander so we 'd better hunt her down before she finds out what it's capable of story, but Terry Moore is a fantastic artist and storyteller, so it goes down easy, and his proven skill with interpersonal relationships and great characters is what you come to a Terry Moore comic for as much as for the on-the-run-from-the-military-industrial-complex. Good stuff.
