It’s rare to find a book that paints such a vivid and beautiful picture of life in Nigeria. You can tell how much the author loves the country from her description. It also shows an unflinching look at what it’s like to live in America as a black person and some of the difficulties invisible to all but those who must suffer them.

Molto interessante, molto ben scritto. Mi domando però se l'autrice non avrebbe fatto meglio a pubblicare una raccolta di saggi sul tema della razza, invece di un romanzo. Ci sono davvero troppe feste e cene con personaggi usa-e-getta, creati solo per dar voce alle varie tematiche razziali.
