Listened and read the physical book
Lane is oddly judgey as a character
The encounters with the cops bothered me. They did not have any right to threaten what they did or interview her. I also just don’t understand the logic they are following. And they keep threatening to handcuffing her when she was a victim!
I found basically every encounter your main character had so aggravating and over the top. People were so cartoonishly terrible to her.
Shes definitely a bit of an unreliable narrator with the drugs and I’m wondering if that will play out in the solution.
I really struggled to care at all about this book.
Also the lover affair in this is SUPER fucking gross. The male love interest is the detective that found and rescued her when she was 13 years old.
I don’t think I’ve ever hated a character as much as I hate this cop Sean. He’s the biggest piece of shit.
The end was very whatever.

I like how the book started out in the past and went right to the present. The author put little snippets throughout the book about this conspiracy chat board and what the users where thinking. I would have like to have had more entries. I wanted to dive a little deeper into what happened at Olivia’s school. Also wanted more background on Ella’s mother and her new life. The author was on point with the characters. Nothing was censored and the details of everything that was going on made me feel something real. I thought the book was very intense the last 30 pages which I really enjoyed. I felt all the emotions. It was a very well written.
