I found this book boring... I thought all the characters were awful and I never once got interested in what woulld happen to them, although I knew from the start that something dreadful would happen. And it did, but only on the last page, and then it was mentioned, and that was it.
Not for me, this one.

one of those novels where's a tension between a kind of well-observed social comedy and something darker, more internal, unsaid and visceral emerging in some moments. I like how she did it, how we would just be in one character's head, almost without knowing we'd gone in there and how strange and unsettling that could be. For a moment, I thought that there were maybe one too moments when the darker stuff actually intrudes into the lives of the main characters (where what was unsaid or undone becomes said and done) but actually, it leads to a very final, final moment.
