I liked that the book was fast-paced so it was over quickly.

Yolanda! I’m sending you a poster and a cookie. This stuff was wild. Never read anything like it. Still no triggers although maybe a little sensitive to the baby and Verona.

Also the strap? Are you okay! I’ll send you a rose too that’s the proper toy ya girls are liking now a days okay? Maybe a tentacle if you wanna get wild! Not that contraption

If you ever wondered what might be going on In the mind of a disturbed, twisted, psychotic murderer, this short story sums it up.

Oh Yolanda.. You did it again.
No, this book isn't for everyone, but I loved every single page. It's vile, boundary pushing, and disturbing, so naturally I had to read it. I am a big Yolanda Olson fan, but the more videos I saw of people DNFing this book, I knew that I would love it. I am rather disappointed I waited so long to read this one.
Guy Burress is a smidge out of touch with reality. Just a smidge.
Happy reading to my fellow horror lovers.

W. T. F. I never write reviews but I just had to for this book. I’ll be honest, I’m pretty traumatized after this. Def check your trigger warnings if anything bothers you, I went into blind and glad I did. Guy is one sick dude. This book was so sick and twisted that I ALMOST had to DNF but I’m glad I didn’t! The ending was *chefs kiss* Glad I found a horror book that actually fulfilled its purpose and was able to scare me. Full on chills at the end!

Holy sweet, shocking turn of horror. Oh wait, no. This beautiful masterpiece is exactly what I have come to expect from and love about Yolanda’s writing. She is a master of words, when it comes to writing the tales of the depraved. This book is, by far, my absolutely favourite piece of art, of hers. Yes, this book is a work of art, as she had me feeling, guessing, wanting, hoping and dying for every last detail, from start to finish.

Guy is beyond deplorable, but damn, I learned to love and understand him, his ways and even why he felt the needs and urges he did. How could you not feel a certain part of you being drawn to his story, like the child who sees their first scary film, through a hidden face, but cannot help but peek through their fingers.

The characters were beautifully woven, with layers and details added on, at each turn, to give us the bit closer of a look at their internal mechanisms. We were given a variety of people, who all had characteristics and personalities that created a broad and well-rounded circle of important pieces in the puzzle. Each had a meaning, and Olson made sure to hold out the real meaning behind their existence, until just the right moment.

Just like the meanings of each character, Olson also perfectly knew when to throw in a twist, turn or kink(take that one as you will) and how to really take the knife of that turn and twist it in you, often leaving you sat there, mouth open and unable to speak, whilst people wonder if you’re broken.

I loved the jagged-edge of pace, throughout the story. We were given a moderate pace, which was the feel I got from Guy. Everything was about planning, waiting and stealing the right moment. Right as he stole the moment, she turned the pace up, throwing us into the whirlwind of excitement.

Seriously the best read I have enjoyed in a very long time. Dark, yes. Disgusting, mostly. Unputdownable, without a doubt. Just remember, after you read Guy’s tale, you will never be the same again.

**I received this book for free, an voluntarily provided my honest and unbiased review.

Good story from a serial killers pov.

A little gore. Maybe more than a little.

A bit of a lame ending though. The author attempted a shocking twist and it just fell flat.

Blood, gore, torture, rape, child abuse, death.
