This book was not great, at all. The MFC was unbearable! She was horribly immature, and was written as the “not like other girls” trope, which I hate. Also the entire mean girls dynamic is super overplayed, and since it was pivotal to the plot I couldn’t ignore it.

DNF at 25%. This book is not cute, not funny, and I don’t have the patience to deal with Ollie’s goofy monologues and breaking the fourth wall. The absolutely annoying scene where she babbles a ridiculous “how we met” story for PAGES made me want to hurl the kindle. She comes across as childish, which just makes the age gap skeevy. Huge “I’m not like other girls” energy.
