I found this on my kindle and assumed past-me must have downloaded it because it had a happy ending. It did! I think this might be my favourite lesbian pulp novel I've read so far. I had a few issues with the main character, but I still liked her. I liked the love interest as well AND the love story spoke to me, which is never a given. (Though I've only now realized that I am a sucker for stories of "love vs. duty".) Reading this was kind of like watching a dramatic old movie... only gay. Nice!
