Felt like a regurgitation of book 1 and had all of the same issues. It should’ve never made it to a duology ☹️

I liked it, but again not as spicy as I’m used to from this author. Also BE WARNED there is a child abduction in this book and I was NOT PREPARED!

Easily my favorite conclusion Meghan March has ever written. I am completely blown away by the sheer brilliance of Madam Temptress. This swoony, red hot, explosive and suspenseful read took me on a whirlwind of feelings. Everything from dreamily sighing and swooning to being blindsided and broken hearted. Let me tell you, I enjoyed every second of it.

Madam Temptress picks up right where Creole Kingpin left off with Moses needing to confess his secrets from the past and his real reason why they met 15 years prior. I have to say, I love, love, loooove Moses and Magnolia so damn much. They're absolutely perfect together. Especially because after they talked everything out, there were no grudges or pettiness. They were able to lay everything out and move forward and grow into a solid and devoted unit.

As much as Ioved seeing Moses and Magnolia relationship grow stronger, what really made this story for me was the unexpected ending. Holy WOW! Meghan March did a great job building the suspense and lulling you into believing you knew exactly where this book was going. Then hitting you with a surprising turn that blows everything out of the water. Shock doesn't even feel like a big enough word to explain it. It's insane where this story goes. Phenomenal! Meghan brought her A game with Madam Temptress.

I know this is Moses and Magnolia's story but good God!! Lachlan Mount!! If you thought you loved him before, prepare yourself because it's nothing compared to what you'll feel for him after reading this duet. His love for Kiera and his little girl...gah!...my heart. Long live the Ruthless King!!

If you haven't started your binge yet, do yourself a favor and get on it asap. You don't want to miss out on this outstanding second chance romance. It'll take you on a wild ride.

Oh my wow! I was not expecting such a page turner!!! I literally couldn’t stop reading Madam Temptress once I started! The book picked up right where Creole Kingpin left off. Moses is most definitely all alpha and boy is he hot as sin! Magnolia is so easy to love! Their story is unlike anything Meghan has written before and I absolutely loved reading every minute of it! I’m only sad that it’s over. I cannot wait to see what Meghan writes next!!!

Great part 2! When the bad guys threaten infants and think they will get away with it… fucking stupid! Especially when that baby belongs to the one man who runs Nola…

I may be anti baby, but the happy dad wrapped around the kids finger will always get to me!

This series was veryyy frustrating and disapointing for me. I LOVEEEEEEE Magnolia, I was happy we were getting to know her and her past. However...........
SpoilerAs much as I love Mount, she shouldn't have been the one to save the day. The ending was very disappointing and it felt rushed. March could've done sooooo much with the story line and Moses should've been the one to end it all. I get why Mount was involved but in my opinion he stole the thunder from Moses.

Genre: Spicy romance, romantic suspense, fiction
My summary: Magnolia and Moses’s reunion is tumultuous, as secrets must be shared and Magnolia must decide if she trusts him or not. With a threat to Magnolia’s life that keeps involving other people around her and the police looking to pin a murder on the former madam, Magnolia must fight for survival before it’s too late.
My thoughts: The second book in this duet is a good romantic thriller. This one had much more suspense with less smut than the first book. The second book picks up right where the first book ended. I have definitely read Meghan March’s books completely out of order, starting with the first two books of the Savage trilogy, and then this duet. I can’t wait to go back and read Mount and Keira’s story now. Her books are a nice blend of smut and grittiness that works well together.

I'm almost done with all Meghan March book and this duology has been okay but not my favorite. However the last quarter of this book was a wild ride of twists and heart stopping moments and tears. When a loyal background character is found dead I bawled and could not put it down until I found out what happened.
