A let down. After such a ripping start in the first book, a real let down. When a writer comes up with a brilliant idea of a setting, the novelty generally wears down in the second book. Hence, the writer has to come up with a better effort even to reach the level of the first one. But over here, I'm afraid Pratchett's heart wasn't in it. The storyline was weak. The quips Pratchett is famous for were scarce. And the end was confusing, sudden and absurd.
Havingsaid that ranted above, the book is not rubbish as some of the second books I've read. But the hope were high....and hence the let down.
Spoiler
The main character goes away in the beginning of the book and there isn't any equally exciting character to take his place. The Gulliver like setting. The rampage using Jekeb was all over the top and seemed unnecessary and artificial.Having

Another of Terry Pratchett's science vs. religion stories, this time for children.
