This was a riveting book. It had a captivating plot line and subplots that kept me reading!

Good start to my 2018 challenge. Well paced thriller. Easy to figure out but still kept me guessing some things until the end.

This was my very first Sandra Brown novel! 😱 I can't believe it either, but it definitely won't be my last! Seeing Red revolves around an attempted murder, but it is so much more than that... it's a conspiracy, it's twisty, it's sexy, it's suspenseful... and it's highly addictive.

Brown wrote it in a way that every chapter left you questioning... It made you wonder if you knew what was happening, who was really doing what, were you right or oh so wrong?!?! The characters were questionable at all times... their motives, their actions, were they telling truths or lies, and the banter between the two main characters was spot on and kept you wanting more. The plot was always twisting and it kept me on my toes... I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this book.

I really loved that even though it kept me guessing, this is an action/suspense novel with a bit of romance tucked into it and not a psychological thriller for a change. I'm not sure that I've ever read anything quite like it before. It was a nice break.

The intrigue, the mystery and the plot twists were very well done. Honestly, I did not see some coming in the end - other were a little bit too on the nose for me.

Literally my own mistake for not reading the dust jacket properly, but when the first really intense romantic scene started I was like ???? The language just was so sexually charged all of a sudden and it really ripped me out of the book.

Overall, I enjoyed the plot but wished there was waaay less sexual tension in this book.

Kinda lame. Implausible motivations for the villains. Main character was flawed, which was fine, but not likable enough for me to care about him that much. The "supercharged sexual tension" seemed gratuitous and like bad TV writing. Narration was just okay, i.e., not up to the high standards I've come to expect; the voices used for some characters engaged in conversation were so close, it was occasionally confusing.

I just don’t think this is my genre, to be honest. Don’t have strong feeling for or against this book.

I really disliked the narrator as he did not seem to have any emotion in his voice or even try to change his voice for characters :( It could totally be me, but it threw off the chemistry for me. And, instead of being sexy, I found Trapper's "lines" a bit cheesey...but that maybe be more because the narrator turned me off, lol. So I am rating this book a three - in the middle.
