I am trying to remember which 2011 picture book about a cat was nearly the same to this one.

Bowen captures a dog's curiosity about the world perfectly. I really liked Scooter's POV and easily connected his enthusiasm and adventurous spirit to my own dog's. This would be a fun read aloud for primary students.
