This is an interesting active nonfiction graphic novel--lots of information about the science and history of robots, circuits, and more but also instructions for making a variety of simple robots. The one critique that I have is that the final robot seems to jump in difficulty quite drastically from the early robots, which use fairly simple materials and instructions. However, the final chapters include coding a robot with more complex and expensive materials that might not be available to all kids. It also made it hard to know the audience--the first robots would likely be more interesting to upper elementary, but the final robot would likely need the abilities and understanding of an upper middle schooler or high schooler. Overall, I think they are an interesting addition to libraries, and I'll check out some of the others in the series!
