So good....
The spice is mild (for me) and the plot is fabulous! I'm loving the development and can't wait to read the second book! I'd make sure you buy both at the same time because you won't want to delay jumping into the next one. Even at 1:00am!

I'm sorry but no.
The book covers 11 days (maybe one or 2 more days but I don't remember how many days Briar spends at the new house before school begins) and it was so fast paced it was ridiculous. The 4 guys (the Kings, so so so dumb, literally nothing make them special but weirdly enough everybody is scared of them? Why? What happened? How?) go from hating the heroine (for no reason as usual) to make a blood oath with her to protect her and kill for her? What?! Makes no sense.
You tell me that there're cameras in Ash's house but he never thought of leaking the tapes before? It doesn't make any sense. Did his father only beat him outside?
And then there's the man who escapes jail, finds where Briar lives (how?) and goes to the grocery store like a normal person? Huh?!
The writing style sure doesn't help. No angst, no depth, kinda childish, it lacks what makes a boring plot interesting enough to make you read the second book.

Less bully but so good!
This bully RH is much less bully than I imagined it being compared to other in the same genre. The bullying ended quickly with nothing to extreme or horribly happening. The guys and Briar also talked through their issues right away so we didn’t see much of the hiding issues and making it a bigger problem than they needed to be. Plenty of steam and a really good plot. I’m excited to see where book 2 goes!
The ONLY issue I had was the cover. Don’t get me wrong it’s a fabulous cover, but I tend to use the cover as a starting point for how I feel the characters look in my head as I’m reading but none of the guys or Briar look like anyone on the cover which threw me off.
