The book is too short to do justice to the characters so they feel kind of flat.

DNF @ 50%. And I only made it that far because the book is less than 200 pages long. All of the character development is in fast-forward mode because of the book length. I didn’t like how the heroine had been sexually assaulted in the past and then doesn’t even flinch when a guy she barely knows fingers her. She also claims she’s going to get “slow, premeditated, lethal” revenge on the boys for bullying her and she never does jack shit. Her character felt very insincere.
