When Lisa finds her friend murdered in his office, she's the lead suspect. She knows she should sit back and let the police handle it, but she can't rest until the killer is brought to justice. As she digs deeper, she seems to uncover a bigger plot than she wanted to.

Since this is the 3rd of this series and I haven't read any of the previous books before, I was a bit confused and felt kind of lost when I started it. There were characters I wasn't really familiar with, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the story.

I honestly don't have anything really special to say about it. The writing is great, and the plot was fine. I didn't love it but I didn't dislike it either. A perfectly neutral 3-star for me :)

I hadn't read anything by the author before, therefore it wasn't what I was anticipating, but I was absolutely thrilled, and I personally cannot wait to read more. It was a compelling mystery that builds up to a heart pounding finish.

Thank you NetGalley and the author for letting me read and review this book.
