Great little book to pass the time. Read this in my effort to read more BIPOC authors.

Literally felt like this was written by a robot. Such a waste of a good premise 😭

It was interesting but not a whole lot going on kind of weird at times but I like the cooking and the romance too bad I got sick and couldn't go to the book club sad

At first I thought maybe I missed the pet where they established some chemistry, but then I realised they were just flat, and everything was going to be spoon fed telling without showing.
As a draft on Wattpad this would have lots of potential.
I really wanted it to be more

I really enjoyed this book. I love books that revolve around cooking, chefs, and restaurants. There's just something so intense about the cooking atmosphere that I can't get enough of. This book was that. I loved the intense way the characters were written and developed and I loved the way that the author took her time in not only developing the characters but the story as well. This book also comes with amazing recipes that I definitely will be trying out! I also loved that touch as well. It makes being able to relate to the story even further.
Overall, an amazingly fresh and fun story that I would definitely recommend.

*Big thank you to NetGalley/Publisher who sent me this book in exchange for an honest review.*

This book had the potential to be an all time favorite. What kept it from being that was the lack of development in the relationship from Julien's perspective. But Lumi is pretty great so it's fine I guess. I will definitely read more from this author.
