Not a review.. Just some sentences that struck me from this essay.
1. A cover paper marks the birth of the book and therefore, the end of my creative endeavour. It confers on the book a mark of independence, a life of its own.
2. If the process of writing is a dream, the book cover represents the awakening
3. A good cover is flattering i feel myself listened to, understood.

Not nearly as good as I was hoping it would be.

Technically a short read, but it felt really long. There's only so much you can say in a book entirely about book covers. The author's personal touches about her Bengali mother and relationships with clothing were great. Also this book gave some interesting insight into the powerlessness authors have over their own books. But some parts were... boring for me I'm sorry to say. So just okay overall
