I fell in love with Mary H. K. Choi's writing. Like actually fell in love. I could read a sentence and feel a slight flutter in my chest like what. It's increadable. The way she handled all these topics of life and made them into a story was truly inspiring. It felt like an important story to read, and I’m glad that I did. With that being said, I really had to push through to be able to finish this story. I think it was hard because a lot of Jaynes thoughts and thought patterns were similar to my own a while back. And therefore I wasn’t able to read a lot in one sitting.
It also wasn’t a “page turner” in my opinion.
But, like I said, it was worth the read.

Fairly predictable plot, but good for understanding and exploring the dynamic of older, parentified sister and younger, rebellious, managed sister. Glad to see progress from the younger sister and she was a bit insufferable in the beginning (though, big sis fucked up too).
