First time through this book. I think I would have liked it better when I was a kid. I didn't hate it on this pass, but I also don't imagine I'll ever seek it out again.

Not bad, but not my favorite L'Engle. I know Arm of the Starfish isn't about Meg and Calvin, but I wish they were at least more recognizable - here they're basically indistinguishable from Wallace and Victoria Austin.

I loved the "Wrinkle in Time" series that I read as a child, and again about 10 years ago. This story is very different, but has interesting science fiction elements as well.  It has a mystery feel, and I'm still deciding if I love the characters or not. There are 2 other books in the series, but I'm not sure if I will read them or not...

Although I have had this book on my shelves for a while, I had never read it all the way through. Even though it isn't my favorite L'Engle, I am glad I read it, finally.

Easily could have been a 5 star for me but I felt Adam was weirdly obsessed with Poly. I felt as if it was suppose to be a sibling relationship, but some of the comments he made gave me the ick.

It is an engaging story that is troubled by its age. The main story is really gripping but there is just too may instances where the author is describing how developed the female child characters are.

Wonderful novel. I did heartily enjoy these books centered around the O'Keefes.

I feel closer to Polly (or Poly in this one) than Vicky, not just because of the name, but because I think we think about the world the same way.
