this was absolutely incredible. the author did such a fantastic job of telling tn story of the clotilda survivors with respect and dignity and complexity. will def be a foundational text going forward for the history of slavery

I loved the things I learned, but the info was very disjointed so it was hard to piece together the story of any one single person.
