Mr. Phillips, the first workday after he is made redundant at his job, wanders around London thinking about sex and wondering how he will tell his wife. Kind of like NEXT, and of course, Rreminiscent of the other big 'middle-aged man walks around a city thinking about sex' book (rhymes with SHMOO-LISSIES). I liked it. Not much happens (although both MR PHILLIPS and NEXT have moments of random violence thrown in) but the thinking about things feels very familiar.

To be honest, I don't remember too much of this book: If i'm not mistaken, it's about a man whose life undergoes a change and he has to alter his rigid schedule.

An unusual day on the life of... enjoyable ruminations from a middle aged man, memories and day dreams, worries and petty grievances.
