Eight beautifully written stories that not only get the reader in the holiday spirit but bring love back to NYC. Some of the characters are wrapped up in heartwarming tales, others need to overcome obstacles to finally getting their HEA but each and every story in this collection was a joy to read and it could not have come at a better time. I also love that the proceeds to go those in need during the holiday season.

So far, I have only read Pining by Stephanie Rose. As I read more, I will add to my review.

Pining- This is Victoria's story (Josh and Sara's daughter). Tori is working at her father's cutom bike shop and meets and falls for Anthony, one of the mechanics. I loved this litle glimpse at Victoria's love life! I could totally picture her and Anthony. I felt the pull these two felt toward each other; I just wish there was more!

Santa's Slaying - Andrea Bills
This was a great quick read where you are transported to 1960 Christmas time where Santa is on a killing spree and Lorilie witnesses her best friend and flat mate Allie be murdered. Agent Beryl Bills is determined to find the slaying Santa and he sees a determination in Lorilie that speaks to him and he knows he can get her to help, what he doesn't expect is the amount of attraction he has from her from the get go. There is plenty of suspense, frustration, mind games, attraction and an ending that makes you happy for Lorilie and Beryl but also afraid for others after a twist blindsides you!!

Today I am reviewing Andrea Bill’s story Santa’s Slayings which is part of the Mistletoe Over Manhattan anthology. Andrea contacted me as I had read and LOVED her book The Forgotten Ones so it was a no brainer to pick up this short story.

It is the 1970’s and I have been introduced to a young Beryl Bills working for the CIA. I have not had the pleasure of reading The Broken Kind which is the 3rd and final book in the Brotherhood series but when it comes out I plan on doing so.

So back in the past and someone is going around killing innocent women dressed as…yeah you guessed it Santa!! Only this time, in this current situation he did not get the girl he wanted! In walks Bills and his partner, Bills sees the intended victim Lorilie and it’s the insta-love. However, she is his charge and he has made promises to protect her. Lorilie, she feels the same way despite being scared and worried about being the potential next victim she finds safety and strength when she is with Bills. Obviously being packed in so few pages somethings do feel a bit rushed as they flee from her flat to go to Manhattan. There were some cute and comedic sections in the book which helped to break the tension of the serial Santa killer running loose.

When I was reading this, I did feel like everything fitted together a little bit too easily for the CIA and I was a bit bereft, even with a Christmas happy ending. But wait, there was another chapter I had yet to read and this is where Andrea lays such a blow I had chills down my spine. It was creepy as hell and it worked. I am hoping that somehow this is incorporated in the future because man it was a low blow!

I adored Andreas’s writing before and I still do now. She got me sucked in, unravelling the story in two points of view and kept me hooked until the final chilling ending sentences.

I haven’t read the other books in the anthology but this one is a corker and I am glad I had the opportunity to read it.

Perfect for the upcoming holidays and a quiet, comfy evening.
It's not always as it seems and like in this book it's the unexpected that's the best thing to happen in your life.

I really enjoyed this story and will recommend it to everyone in search for a sweet, romantic and sexy holiday romance story.

This review is for Santa is it You by MC Decker only. This is a sweet holiday read for anyone who enjoys a Hallmark Christmas movie. It’s a good happily ever after with a little bit of spice and definitely room for more adventures if she wants to add more. And I always love seeing characters from other books! I hope she will take their story further.

*Review for Rockefeller Romance by Jeannine Colette*

This short novella had me swooning! I was captivated by the story and while it was a perfect ending I was also wanting so much more. To see where the story takes these characters, because in a short few chapters I became completely and utterly invested. I fell hard and fast for this quirky, caring assistant and her flirty, handsome and oh so sweet friend.

Jeannine Colette really knows how to make me fall in love with her story and her characters!
