Kids will have an uproarious good time counting all the monkeys throughout the pages of this book. But wait a minute... Where are all the monkeys?

This book is a must for every Kindergarten teacher and must be read aloud with great gusto. Expect kids to cause a ruckus. That's just the way this book was written. :)

One of our favorite read-alouds! I also read it for our "Toddler Book Club," and it was a big hit with all the kids. It's interactive without making it hard to read through, as some books do.

Count the different animals (grizzly bears, wolves, crocodiles...) that have scared the monkeys off the pages. Hilarious instructions invite both verbal and physical participation. Count the Monkeys would be an awesome read aloud, but the illustrations might be a bit too cluttered for a large group. Fits nicely with the intended age range and it might even appeal to older elementary students because of the humor.

Counting. It's a common theme when teaching Early Literacy OR working with youngsters. Well, "Count the Monkeys" has a completely different take on the topic.....but I can't spoil the ending for you.

What is so fun is the engagement this book has with readers. The children LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the different animals. They love the absolutely hilarious things they have to do. It's an enjoyable, albeit sometimes too silly, read.

Another funny book for kids and adults! We liked the interaction the book has the reader do while turning the pages too.
