the characters weren't really likeable to me which made a book that sounded boring in the best way (love a book where hardly anything happens) difficult to get through and enjoy. I rarely don't finish a book, especially so early on in the plot but I could feel with every sentence how it was pushing me towards a reading slump. There's definitely potential there for a beautiful story but sadly, this one just wasn't meeting the criteria necessary for me to stick around

This had the feel of “A man named Ove” which I loved. This was a easy read meeting different people and there difference and learning how they can help along a journey of ones self. This book does follow cancer a lot but having going through it the thoughts and facts hold true. A must read. I can not wait til the movie is out.

A heartwarming book! I will say I was able to semi-guess the ending although it didn't matter too much, I was happy to be there for the journey! Although slow, It was a well rounded and satisfying read. Would recommend.

I loved this book. A story of faith, commitment, grief and the way memories change over time, Harold and Maureen are wonderful characters. Both so full of doubt and fear in the beginning, their individual journeys are a great example of how you can renew your relationship to life and the world around you. And I loved Rex too - a wonderful support to them.
