If you like dark romance you may like this. I have issues with it especially in this book I guess. Book was ok.
This book had me captivated from the get go. The struggles that Verity faces draws you in. I both love and hade Woodrow. He is the perfect mix of a loving alphahole. Definitely worth the read.

I enjoyed this story a lot. I wonder what ever happened to the stepmother and daughter left Verity's father's house. Woodrow spoke as if he would make them pay for what had been done to Verity. Overall this was a interesting story to read.
A cute little sci-fi Omega story.
It wasn't dark, dystopian, brutal or anything 'Addison Cain-ish' about it.
Therefore a teeny tiny bit boring, but cute enough.
Omegaverse for beginners

As a love story/romance, this was a bit too dark for my taste, but I liked the science fiction elements. I particularly liked the last 15% of the book when the action picks up. I'm going to read the next book to see if it maintains that level of action.

Verity and Woodrow.
Dark sci-fi omegaverse romance.
Read this between books 7 and 8. Definitely not before reading books 1-3.
CW: Ch14 is particularly packed with rape and sexual assault. (Friendly reminder that arousal doesn’t equate to consent even in fantastical tales)
Ch7 is sensual and 😌 good.
I like the world building sci-fi. But this story isn’t where one should start this ten book series.
Woodrow isn’t likeable. I preferred other MMCs from this author.
The ending doesn’t make much sense without having read book 3

More Grey than Dark
The story was good. I really liked the manipulation to get the Omega, which was different. He may be an Alpha but I'd say with her he was a soft Alpha. There were spankings but there really wasn't a overly controlling Alpha which is usually found in dark omegaverse.
I'll read the next book.
M/f, Omegaverse, spankings, manipulation,

So I found this series after reading the recently written prequel. I loved the different, darker take on the OV but this book made me so uncomfortable? The world building is a lot more in depth and explored than other OVs and credit to the author for that. I'm not surprised people love this. It's OV but MORE. However, I don't think this is for me.
It's really quite dark in theme. Omega's are nothing more than bottom of the rung sex slaves? I was happy to read it knowing there would be dubcon but I wasn't expecting Verity to not only be so young but to be written in such a naive, child like way? I would classify this as erotica and I found it deeply uncomfortable that she was even still being referenced as a child at times, young and small.
Ultimately, I never liked Woodrow. I don't think enough building went into the primal instincts that allowed me to find his actions at all forgiveable or understandable. I just, I couldn't get past it. Contextually it works and I'm not disputing that the world building is interesting and I think the author has managed to make OV fit into the fantasy genre. But it was a miss for me.
So rated generously despite my deep discomfort with certain themes. I'd check the CW's for this one. It was unexpectedly uncomfortable
