Really interesting premise, but it wasn't executed very well in this format. I've heard good things about the podcast though.

DONT FALL ASLEEP. I feel like this will be much easier for me to pay attention to in tv format when the show comes out. I got an ALC via libro f.m. EXTREMELY talented narrator. I zoned out on the story pretty often. I loved the characters. Nightmare on Elm Street meets the twilight zone. Is the best way I can describe it, I suppose? Even then, it doesn't really fit. I didn't completely comprehend the ending, but I really enjoyed the journey, I loved Dave and Matteo. Interesting mix of cosmic horror/scifi. More leaning towards scifi. I'm definitely going to be checking out the podcast this came from as well.

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of the audio and book.

Unfortunately I made it to 70% and got bored. I feel like this story had such potential but the short clipped chapters threw me off and didn’t help me stay connected to the story. I really wanted to like it since epidemic apocalyptic books are amazing but this fell short.

#readingchallenge2023 (my extra books!)

Disjointed, at first I felt like I missed something, but overall-I feel the author missed something; as the novel progressed it all felt like an incoherent mess.

Intriguing concept, but the author maybe

Disjointed. At first, I felt like I missed something- but then I felt like the author missed something; the novel was an incoherent mess. An intriguing concept, but the concept didn't have the substance to keep up with the ideas.

Started so strong, and I was fine with the flashbacks, but so many side stories felt out of place-dialogue became less captivating and more confusing-

I wanted more answers, there wasn't enough deliverables, and many set-ups where maybe the author felt there were resolutions were actually just bigger questions left unanswered.

Too ambiguous.
