Listened to it as an audiobook. Overall not a terrible book. It was confusing initially with all the different characters. Not the best book from Olsen. Some twists and turns in the book.

I have mixed feelings on this one. I got hooked in the beginning and then it started to fall more on the flat side for me. I also felt like the first 85 pages were so different from the rest of the book. The way Adam was portrayed in the first 85 pages was SOOOO different from how he was portrayed the rest of the book including his inner monologue and it was not subtle. It was like a switch was flipped and I actually felt like I had to go back because I thought I’d missed something. He also was not a reliable narrator but not in the way people typically aren’t in books, it was disjointed I guess is how I would describe it. For example his inner monologue would say something to us and then chapters later you would find out that was a lie and I couldn’t understand things like that. Absolutely no characters were likeable but I wanted to know what happened. Also I felt some characters were introduced to add to they mystery but then they disappeared and that thought was no longer developed. Somethings were not talked about that you thought should be and there were a lot of dead ends or parts the author started to explain but then never came back to. Not my favorite but not terrible

There is literally no one likable in this book, but I kept reading because the puzzle of who did it and how they did it was intriguing.

Wow, this was an awesome book! Each chapter focuses on a different character and with each character telling his/her story, I thought I had it all figured out until I moved on to the next chapter.

There were twists and turns that kept me guessing throughout the entire book.

Lying Next to Me is set to release in May 2019 and I highly recommend this to anyone that likes a good mystery/thriller.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Thomas & Mercer for this advanced readers copy.

So many good twists and turns in this one for sure. I love learning about the characters and their stories separately and then watching them all come together.

This had so much potential for me but fell flat at the end. I’m so truly over another male writer who lacks understanding of women. And the constant push for “baby obsessed career woman who turns into a murderer”bit.
