4.75 out of 5 Stars: I loved getting to know the new characters and seeing their growth. I loved seeing the island during Christmas. I also loved the new setting of the hotel being opened and added to the island. How food and traditions can show love and make a community. There were new stories of love and growth. Coming back to Mure even if I don't give each book a 5 feels like coming home.

I’m making history and DNF’ing my first book.
I don’t know if I’m just not in the mood or if I don’t like it. I just don’t want to pick it up. Someone wrote on their Goodreads profile they stop reading any book under 4 stars because there are too many good books to read out there.
So I’m manifesting that energy and putting this down for now to move on to something I would much rather read!

This was a tough read for me. The writing style was difficult to get into. Wasn’t a clear distinction made when switching perspectives between characters and found myself having to backtrack a lot to figure out whose mind I was in.
It jumped around a lot, which made me dizzy, because the author tried to get one scene from every characters viewpoint and in the plot line. It wasn’t successful, my POV because just as I thought maybe I was starting to figure out a character she jumped to someone else.
Personally, too much going on for too many people in too short of a time span.

Adorable. I love this series and find it so wholesome and sweet. Every time I read a Jenny Colgan, I get the irresistible urge to bake something…and also go to Scotland.

Fabulous as always. I am a huge fan of Jenny's books and this is another great example.

It was wonderful to revisit Mure and all its characters. A heartwarming story full of love, laughter heart break and friendship.

I love the honesty in Jenny's books and the way the characters are written, they feel so real. I want to go to the Rock. Colton would have been proud of Flora for stepping in, she had the same passion as he did and Fintan just want up to it.

Love love love
