Just a quick diversion with a graphic novel. Quirky and fun. Bourdain’s fiction is really very good, and I love that he’s a part of this comic book series. Certainly it’s open for a third.

Got through this one quicker than the first one. I think it was mostly due to the backstory of Jiro. We got some answers to why he is the way that he is, but again everything felt very rushed with lingering questions with no answers. What happened to the group after Ichigo was killed? Did they ever find out the truth of what actually happened? The layout and the color scheme was the best part of the comic. Interesting backstory, great color scheme, and little hints of character background. That's about it.

Goes with vol. 1. Read them both.

I like the art style, it's bright and stylized a bit but not particularly interesting. I liked the food bits, cause food. The rest was meh.
