It' ok if you don't think about it - the girl managed to be "believable", but what is wrong with guys who wait for girls to get older? Oo Read it if you want to relax and don't think, still don't expect something great or even good.

This is much more what I expected in erotica....characters named Dawg and Rowdy and Natches....weird and non-sensical plots all vaguely revolving around sex (or in this case a disturbing sex crime which i really could have done without all the way around), random sex throw in kinky in ways that doesn't fit at all with the character development or story line but kinda hot anyhow. Not really my thing but continuing my enlightment on the smut front-LMAO

I'm fairly sure I read this back in the day when it first came out. My memories of it were that naive-me found it skeezy but the sex was dirty and salacious enough that I read a handful of other books by the same author.

Having just reread this now, jaded-me is so perplexed. Yes, the sex is copious and yes there is anal, so it's definitely on the "dirtier" side of explicit romance, but at this point that is not even that unusual. Also I'm weirdly not that angry with the book despite the whole dumpster-fire treatment of rape/sexual assault that would normally send me through the roof (it's bad, real bad). Instead I can only ask questions. Why the fuck do Rowdy's PARENTS know so much about his sexual habits? Why does apparently everyone in this small town also know? Why the hell is Rowdy's dad complimenting him for not actually sleeping with his underage step-sister, but only looking at her lustfully?

Naive-me was convinced that this took place on the east or west coast, but apparently all the boat stuff is just a lake in Kentucky. WHY KENTUCKY? Are there even lakes in Kentucky?

REALLY SERIOUS QUESTION! How long has Kelly been maintaining her Brazilian wax despite being a virgin and then being sexually assaulted??? Years??? Like obviously, totally her choice, plenty of ladies wax for themselves and not sexual partners, but do sheltered small town virgins really get waxed so regularly???

Final thing--the whole share one girl with multiple guys but the guys never actually touch or kiss, much less fuck, feels ludicrously "no-homo". That only barely registered with naive-me. Jaded-me just wonders about logistics and thinks those guys should have actually had a conversation about their very not-straight feelings.

I got this series from a used bookstore. Nauti Boy is the first in the Nauti series. Rowdy acts like a Dom and you get the feeling that there's going to be a little menage... but sadly not much, I still enjoy it :-)

Between my sister and I we own every book in this series and have read them more than once. Definitely our favorite series from Lora Leigh.
