A friend recommended one chapter of this to me in the 8th grade. I borrowed it in 1st period and read the entire thing before our last class of the day. Almost a decade later I still recommend this book and vividly remember reading it.

So far I've read 2 books by Mary Roach, and what I get is the same: an intriguing premise follows by little substance while trying too hard to be intimate and funny. Sure, you would learn some interesting facts to impress your friends at parties and think twice before signing the donor agreement. I would recommend "Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs? And other Questions about Dead Bodies" by Caitlin Doughty over any days
