fortuna is one of the most determined & powerful FMCs i have ever read about, she is magnificent and absolutely relentless and i adore her

absolutely obsessed with laurie & collith too... that tiktok sound "capital B.. BOAF" comes to mind 🤭

itching to find out whether or not oliver is actually real or if he truly is just in her head... also itching to find out what the fuck is going on with damon 

also that ENDING?! miss frosty pants viessa is alive??? and why did she try & kill my bae collith when they were lovers???? i hope to god he's not actually evil or something or i will be devastated

imma be real with you, i gave up after five chapters - within the first chapter i was like "that's... racist?" three times and then i learned its a fae dark romance. is not for me

The cliffhanger at the end left me GAGGED. So even though I thought halfway through I would NOT read book two - I see now that I HAVE to - because I have SO many questions I need answered

3.5/5. I really wanted to give it a 4 but the story moved way too quickly. Internal dialogue from the MMC would have nice as well.
Please read other more thorough reviews because they are the reason I chose this book and I am so happy I did. The FMC is a badass in an entirely different way than most FMC in fantasy romance. The 3 men in her life are so different and all intriguing... Especially Ollie.

Surprisingly good. As far as spiciness, this book was relatively tame. It was an exciting look into the fae world I had not seen before. So excited to get to the next one!

The world building was thin, the romance was transparent, it ended with a plot twist…. I LOVED IT 10/10 BRAIN EMPTY FICTION

So, this book was interesting, for a first one in a trilogy (I think?) this is good. But I have some critics:
1- I wanted more wolrdbuilding, that would've been so nice because it does seem interesting and the book could've been a little longer for that.
2- I wanted to know more about the characters, it felt rushed at times and I wanted to know more of their personalities
3- Fortuna is great, but sometimes irritating. She's patronising towards her brother and I hated that.
4- killing Jassin wasn't necessary, I love problematic characters (not that the fae court is not problematic enough).
For book 2 I want to know more about Laurie, he's very charming and if I'm right there's gonna be a love triangle (one of my most hated trope I really hate it). I want to know what's gonna happen with this thing Fortuna discovered and If Viessa is gonna be back. I want to see some trouble!
I loved the cliffhanger at the end.
