A nice satisfying ending to this mini-trilogy set on St. John's. Winter or summer-themed, I devour all her books. Not super substantive, but compulsively readable and a great escape.

This was my least favorite book of the Paradise series!!!!! It was slow to get through. A lot of movement with the characters that became too confusing to keep up with... all to get to the part with Ayers Baby and Irene's triumph at the end! Oscar's partnership with Todd Croft was a twist!

This is the third and last book in the series. It starts off with a recap of what happened in the last two books. There are multiple POV's. It is a fast paced story. It is a feel good beach read. I am not sure how I feel about the information dump toward the end. I don't think it was needed and it felt like the author wanted to tie up the trilogy in a nice package. I also feel that this could have all been made into just one book and it would have been so much better. I have tried reading this last book for the past year but I kept putting it down. I am glad that I finally finished it and I will miss all the characters.

It felt like all the interesting parts of this book happened in the last 50 pages of the book, which meant the rest of the book was just people making frustrating choices and creating drama. I appreciated that this story wrapped up everything pretty well, but it felt like everything had a very simple solution, regardless of how complicated they were. I thought the hurricane was interesting enough that it deserved to be the actual focus of the book, rather than the event that ended it - it was much more interesting than endless personal drama.
