Savior finishes the first arc of the Hunter’s story, so it feels like a conclusion and it’s a satisfying one. The journey to Enarium is difficult and saving Hailen might be impossible but the Hunter swore to save him, so he’ll do everything he can. But he also must stop The Sage or else destruction will reign. This book is so well written that you’ll be right there along with the Hunter and feel all his pain and struggles. The Hunter’s struggle for humanity is what makes the Darkblade books so compulsively readable. Of course there’s lots of action and intrigue which definitely move the plot along, but the Hunter is so caring for the weak and needy and discards of society and he fights his dark side so vigilantly and that’s what really makes me love these books. But don’t worry the battles and body count in this story are worthy of the Hunter, so if that’s what your here for you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to see where the Hunter’s story will go next! All I know is it will be epic!

I received an ARC from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review.
