A bit hard to get into. I loved the characters and all their quirks and flaws. I also loved how the relationships formed and how natural it felt. The writing style was fun and interesting. I will say it was a bit boring at times but I also don’t think that realistic fiction is my cup of tea.

Overall a really cute read that had me giggling and kicking my feet at some parts.

“I like knowing that you exist. It doesn’t make me feel any less lonely, because life is lonely, but it makes me feel a lot less alone.”

Holy shit! That was it? Lol really even though the ending was abrupt AF this was actually a really cute, swoony, spazzy novel. The conversations were so real and relatable that there were a couple of times when I had to put it down just to breathe. I love YA romance exactly because a lot of it elicits a feeling of collective experience. I wish I had a Sam. This reads like fangirl. By the end of it, I had a chock full of notes and highlights. This was actually really good. I admired how it tackled friendship and the relationship between Celeste and Penny. That there need not to be a perfect solution, it makes me want inspect the relationship I have with my mom more.
